I knew I needed more practice taking photos and using the BillionGraves app. Another nearby cemetery is a small site located just north of the buildings on the grounds of the Needmore Bible Church in Needmore, Pennsylvania. Compared to many other local cemeteries, this cemetery is in its infancy, having been established in 1995. Only surface monuments are permitted there.
My mom and I visited this cemetery during the same time frame that we documented Oakley Methodist Cemetery. In less than an hour, we photographed and uploaded 54 more headstone images to BillionGraves.com.
Newer, well-maintained monuments and markers such as those in this cemetery are very easy to document. By now, I was becoming more proficient with the app and began to realize how important it is to link related photographs so that volunteer transcriptionists do not miss transcribing related photos or are unable to discern relationships between uploaded photos because there is no link between them.
We returned to this cemetery only once to retake a photo that had become corrupted and would not upload. Upon completion of this cemetery, I could tell that my confidence level was noticeably increasing. Click here to view the BillionGraves webpage for the Needmore Bible Church Cemetery.
